I purchased 3 NEW Dodge Ram 2500's in 1993, 94 ,95. My employees and I transported RV's. All 3 trucks had at least 750,000 miles on them when I quit hauling RV's. I did not have to do anything major to any of the Cummins engines in all those miles. The thing that got me hooked first of all was the power and fuel milage. The 1993 truck got at least 20 mpg..... Empty or loaded!!! This 2010 truck I bought in May 2017 with 40,000 miles on it. I hauled travel trailers for 2 years and by May 2019, I had put 400,000 miles on it. I stopped hauling trailers then but still use it daily hauling locally.
I didn't do anything special. Just changed the oil regularly.
