It's a Cummins. That Simple I knew it was the only engine that could stand up to my commute of 20K a year combined with a dodge truck, just hate the usual MOPAR electronic gremlins! Ran extra ground wires, installed a hippi box, changed the alternator, rebuilt the automatic transmission, changed the computer, changed the TPS, put is a FASS pump because stock dodge lift pump fails and burns your injector pump. Installed fuel pressure, temp, and boost gauges. Did I mention DODGE electronics SUCK? Finally solved intermittent transmission lock/unlock but my trip computer still gives CCD errors when its in the mood. Cummins and drive train are great, but dodge electronics really suck.Cummins engine averages 24 MPG in San Francisco Bay Area commute!
Change the oil and filter every 5K. Change the fuel filter every 10K.
